Why Choose a 45-Minute Appointment?

Have you started writing a paper for your professor that you would like to get another perspective on? Do you want to generate ideas on how to improve your writing? Are you unsure​ whether a tutoring appointment would address your specific writing needs? If you are an actively enrolled ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ student, the Writing Center offers support through its 45-minute tutoring appointment service, either in person at our MLK Jr. Library location or online through Zoom.

How Do I Book an Appointment?

Students can self-book appointments through the Writing Center's WCOnline scheduling system. Students need to create and activate an account before booking tutoring sessions. Students can also cancel their appointments if they are unable to attend and track their upcoming bookings. 

Policies and Procedures

When booking an appointment, it is essential to understand and be familiar with the policies and procedures. Read about student eligibility, appointment preparedness, code of conduct, lateness, and frequency of appointments. Our procedures also reiterate that the Writing Center is not an editing or proofreading service.

Why Choose a 20-Minute Drop-In?

Don't have an account in WCOnline and don't have the time to create one? Can't find an available appointment? Need writing support for a quick writing-related question? Our Open Lab drop-in service (via​ Zoom) provides up to 20 minutes of writing help on a first-come, first-served basis.​ 

Ready to Join?

Open Lab is available during the fall semester on Tuesdays from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Thursdays from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. If you have your paper/writing ready to share and are logged into your One.±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Zoom account, join now.
