String Project

Fall 2025 — Spring 2026

The String Project provides group violin classes to elementary and middle school students, while offering a hands-on, supervised teaching experience to ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Music Education majors.

Classes start early October on Monday and Wednesday 4-5pm in the music building at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥.

We are charging a small tuition fee on a sliding scale of $100/semester per student. Additionally, there is a modest rental fee of $50 per semester to use the instruments of ±«ÓãÖ±²¥.

DONATIONS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME

The String Project receives very limited support from the University. The School of Music is committed to further our long-standing practice of active social justice through music-making and engaging our community via the String Project.  Please note that your gift is intended for the ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ String Program on the DONATION page
