HFES Student Chapter

 at San Jose State University was established in Spring 2004, and exists to help further the Human Factors and Ergonomics graduate program at ±«ÓãÖ±²¥. Our members come from many backgrounds and disciplines, and hold various interests within the HF/E field. Our goals are to:

  • Encourage collaboration between fellow students and faculty by providing a forum to exchange knowledge and discuss different research ideas, theories, and methods used in the field;
  • Build a stronger connection between the professional and academic aspects of Human Factors; and
  • Provide an information and support network to new and existing students.

Events

Throughout the semester, we are planning to hold a variety of events, such as:

  • Hosting industry speakers and academic speakers from other departments and universities
  • Providing a resource for upcoming Human Factors related conferences and speakers
  • Touring local facilities
  • Discussions and round tables on topics ranging from industry methods, research ideas, and current issues surrounding the Human Factors field
  • Organizing social outings
