Well-being @ ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Collective

The Well-being @ ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Collective was started in 2022 by the Associate Vice President of the Health, Wellness, and Student Services area in the Division of Student Affairs. The collective is an interprofessional, cross-campus network of ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ staff, faculty, students, and administrators of key services that works collaboratively to advance student health and well-being.

The Well-being @ ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Collective has adopted the definitions of health and well-being from the 2021 , which indicates that:

  • Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity
  • Well-being is a positive state experienced by individuals and societies. Similar to health, it is a resource for daily life and is determined by social, economic and environmental conditions

Purpose of the Well-being @ ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ Collective

The collective aims to perform the following functions:

  • Shape vision, goals, and strategy
  • Advance aligned objectives and initiatives
  • Establish shared measurement practices
  • Build awareness and will
  • Advance policy and supportive environmental factors
  • Mobilize funding to advance student health and well-being
